Somewhere between the lines of folk, rock and country is the heart of this long-running solo project by Brendon Thomas. Foreverinmotion began with teenage bedroom tape recordings in 2001 and grew from there. Thomas grew up in southern Vermont and you can hear the influence of his homeland in his songs: reflective, patient and honest. Fans often draw comparison to the likes of Elliott Smith, Jason Isbell, and Ryan Adams.
Thomas has released four full length albums, two EPs and a live album since his first LP in 2004. He has toured the US and Canada more than a dozen times both independently and with label support. He is also a member of the folk-rock harmony trio The End of America.
His latest EP titled "How Is Your Heart?" was released on 11/23, following the release of two singles.
It is FIM’s first release upon returning to Vermont after 9 years of living in New York City and Philadelphia. His first single, “Are You Happy?” looks back on why he needed to leave the city and return to his roots.
The follow up single, “Office Love,” is a playful duet and tribute to the TV show The Office, written for his girlfriend Christy Wendlandt, with whom he sings. The music video for “Office Love” reimagines the show’s set under the trees in rural Vermont where Thomas and Wendlandt do their own take on the Jim and Pam love story. It was a hit among fans of both FIM and The Office, clocking 30,000 views in the first week.
